 Lynn Odom Bio

Lynn Odom is a life-long learner, graduating from the University of Texas - San Antonio with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2020. Since then she has been a middle school and high school art teacher in New Braunfels Texas.  After retiring in May 2026, she plans to further pursue her art career.

She was born in Georgia and traveled across America, with her family, visiting our National Parks, protected spaces, and historical sites.  She took photographs of people, places, flora and fauna to use as references for artworks. She shows the beauty around us, invoking memories of places we have been but may have forgotten, creating a feeling of calm and peacefulness.  Her work is traditional in  style, using palette knife, brushes and other tools to create an emotional expressive mark in oils, watercolor, acrylics, pastels and pen and ink.

Lynn has artworks in private collections, and has donated her artwork to several non-profit organizations to help their fundraising efforts.  She created a mural for a private collector and worked with a team in creating a mural for the San Antonio Zoo.
